122st Gillespie County Fair Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce Fredericksburg, TX

122st Gillespie County Fair Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce Fredericksburg, TX

Pretty amazing event. 122nd time! That doesn't happen very often. It is a really old fashioned county fair. Stock shows, food venues, dances, and of course the Midway of fun...rides for all ages. Make plans now to celebrate Americana at its' best.

Very good read. Lot's to study and think about. You can almost taste and smell the wine and food.

Wanted to share quickly this great site I have found. And it just happens to have another way to use those wonderful peaches you are buying (hopefully in the FBG are). You can see all the choices of ways to mix and match the fruits that are available to you. Looks like a perfect weekend, easy, peasy, lemon squeezy dessert! Stay cool out there.

Cowgirl Creamery - About Us

Cowgirl Creamery - About Us

What a wonderful find. This looks to be an interesting place. I will be ordering and letting you know what I think. However, I have been to Pt. S Reyes Station and all of the Bolinas area so my thoughts and memories are pouring into what this cheese could be like. It was one of the most glorious places I have every been. All along the peninsula is nothing but beauty and peace. Do a little research on this and see if you don't agree. Thunderous, crashing waves, and serene hiking trails among the elk await you! I can smell the eucalyptus as we rode with the window down letting the cool air wash through the car......

Liquid Gold - Wine Enthusiast Magazine - December 01 2006

mmmmmmm olive oil. This is good information. Try their Italian Bread with Tomatoes and Olive Oil recipe on their site. I bought a wonderful Chipotle olive oil at the new Olive Oil Shop in Fredericksburg, TX. Went in and did "tastings" just like at a winery. They also have a very unique group of balsamic vinegars to taste. I bought a "fig" balsamic. It is all good and hard to choose. Look them up. There are four locations in the US and the newest one is in FBG!

Time to Relax. Really. - How to Have a Stress-Free Summer Vacation - Your Best Body for Summer - WholeLiving.com
Vacations are hard to come by these days with trying to keep jobs, the economy of our own pocketbook, and just feeling like we should save the money instead. This is a great article on relaxation if you do take the vacation. However, I found several really good points that you can use daily while on vacation or not. We all need to relax more. It evens suggests turning off the computer and cell phone. That alone would be a big vacation for me. Enjoy your weekend and try and relax along the way.

Welcome to Tra Vigne!

Welcome to Tra Vigne
Just had to post this. I came across it doing other things. It is absolutely one of my favorite places in the world to dine. The atmosphere, the food, the service, the bar, the EVERYTHING. If you ever go to the Napa Valley put this on your bucket list. Be sure to make reservations well in advance. Spend time just soaking it all in. Oooooo, ok, now I've made myself all relaxed and reminiscing....mini-vacation. That was good!
